Hobby time - paper beads.

Hello all,

Its been a few months since I came to blogs.

I recently started doing some hand works! Well, I was inspired by a YouTube video which I happened to see a few months ago.

Since then the thought didn't go off my mind. I really wanted to try that, but got no time until recently.

I did make the beads from the cover page of Femina Miss India. It was easy to make. It is a perfect summertime activities for the kids.

All you need is thick magazine cover or just the good quality papers. Pick the ones which has more colors.

Step 1: Cut the papers in a triangle shape with a very small base. You can decide the length of the paper. Longer the triangle is thicker the bead is. Once it is cut from the magazine it looks like this.

Step 2. Then with the help of a tooth pick, holding the wide end with the toothpick, roll it gently and gather it till the end. You might want to secure it with a glue.

Step 3.

If you choose magazine cover, make sure you apply glue all over the triangle. Because it is a little thicker than the normal paper, needs to time to get secured and dried.

If it is the paper, you just need to apply the glue at the tip of the paper.

Step 4.

You can use a clear glass like glue (like diamond glaze) or the colorless nail polish.

Allow it to dry!

Now, all you need to do it make it a chain with a fiber thread and a hook.

You can add any contrast color plastic beads as well to give it a professional look.

This is what I got from the beads, fix it with a hook and ta da.. its ready!
